Automotive Technician – Gas & Diesel

Job description Join a Shop That Actually Respects Your Time & Skill Thunderbird Automotive Specialists in Phoenix is looking for a skilled Gas & Diesel Technician to join our growing team of 6 techs in a clean, well-equipped, and drama-free 11-bay shop.

We're a flat rate shop — but unlike many, we’re steady, organized, and our techs succeed here. This is not a chain, not flat-rate chaos, and not a revolving door shop. You’ll get paid well, work with a solid team, and be home every night by dinner no weekends, no games.

Compensation:

Flat Rate: $35–$60/hour, depending on experience & certifications Superstar techs with multiple ASE certs? You’re in the $55–$60/hr range Consistent volume, trusted reputation, and efficient service advisors help you stay booked What You’ll Be Working With:

11 clean, organized bays Equipment: Snap-On, BG flush machines, Matco, and more 90% gas, 10% light diesel — no diesel specialty required Repair hours: 7:45 AM–5:00 PM Shop hours: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on experience (gas & light diesel) Strong diagnostic & repair skills in: brakes, A/C, suspension, electrical, engine/transmission ASE Certification preferred (or actively pursuing) Minimum of a B-Level Technician – but if you’re A-Level with top-tier skills, let’s talk We’re looking for talent and hustle – whether you’re a sharp B-Level tech or a top-tier A-Level pro, there’s room for you here.
